Girl Scouts

Bethpage UMC is also blessed to have a strong troop of Girl Scouts.

Girls grades Kindergarten—12th.

Meetings held every other Friday.

Daisies, Brownies, Juniors from 4-6pm.

Cadets from 4:30-6:30pm.

Boy Scouts

Boy Scout Troop 254 meets each Tuesday evening from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. We encourage and welcome all boys 11 years old to 18 years to come and join in the fun and experience the outdoors through Scouting. We currently have about twenty boys and six leaders registered to the unit. We are constantly looking for new folks to come and join our troop. We are a highly active unit that excels in the ideals of scouting and character deveopment through leadership skills and participation in the outdoor program. Wilderness survival, community spirit, emergency preparedness, and many other activities are taught each week through merit badge requirements and rank advancements.

Troop 254 is an exciting place to be. Come catch the Scouting spirt and "BE PREPARED" to have the time of your lives.

DO YOU HAVE A SON, GRANDSON OR FRIEND WHO WILL BE GOING INTO THE 1ST, 2ND, 3RD, 4TH OR 5TH GRADE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CUB SCOUT THIS YEAR?

If so, they are invited, along with their parents and siblings, to join Cub Scout Pack 254 chartered by Bethpage United Methodist Church as wego see the Kannapolis Intimidators play the Hagerstown Sun on Saturday, August 7th. The game starts at 7:00 pm but we will be having a covered dish tailgate before the game at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $5.00 per person and you can bring a covered dish or come as you are as there will be plenty to eat. The "son, grandson or friend" do not have to attend Bethpage UMC to be members of our Pack but are certainly invited to attend our services if they don't have a church home of their own.
